1 cup milk3 tablespoons dark Dutch process cocoa
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
Instructions
In a small sauce pan, heat the milk over medium heat. Whisk in all of the remaining ingredients. Continue whisking until milk is steamy*. Serve immediately with a dollop of unsweetened whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a few marshmallows.*For an even more decadent hot chocolate, drop in a square of your favorite bittersweet chocolate.
